As a long-time Washington resident and agri-business professional, I've always been passionate about ensuring our community has access to reliable energy. That's why I'm excited to announce my candidacy for Benton PUD Commissioner.
Our current leadership is taking us down a path that prioritizes intermittent energy sources and reduces our reliance on proven, reliable energy sources like natural gas. This is unacceptable, and I'm committed to fighting for energy freedom and the rights of all Washingtonians to have reliable energy.
My Promise
I'll be a champion for:
Reliable energy for homes and businesses
Energy freedom and choice
Community-focused decision-making
Hard work and dedication to Benton County residents
I understand the issues that matter most to our community. I've seen firsthand the impact of energy policy on our local economy and families. That's why I'm committed to being a champion for reliable energy for homes and businesses, energy freedom and choice, community-focused decision-making, and hard work and dedication to Benton County residents.
But I also want to share some important realities with those who are pushing their dangerous agenda on our citizens:
The minor reduction of emissions from the state of Washington will never stop climate change, and politicians need to stop pretending that it will. (Source: Rick Dunn, P.D. substack)
Natural gas is a clean, safe, affordable energy. We need to stop accepting the false narrative that it is harmful.
Washington has managed energy needs effectively in large part because 60 percent of our electricity comes from the dams. That reality makes it incredibly foolish to destroy the dams without a much more significant reason than they have provided thus far.
As Washington moves further away from reliable, affordable energy, all residents will feel the pain, including senior citizens on a fixed income. Alternative energy advocates need to be honest and accurate about the costs.
Energy policies pushed by our current leadership in Olympia strongly resemble policies in California. What have these energy policies done to California? California now has rolling black-outs, black-outs, and skyrocketing costs for electricity. Following California’s lead is a bad idea.
My background, skills, and knowledge make me a strong contributor to the Benton PUD team. I'll work tirelessly to represent the interests of Benton County residents and ensure our energy needs are met. I believe that by working together, we can secure a brighter energy future for our community.
Join Me in This Fight
I'd be honored to have your vote and work together to secure a brighter energy future for our community.
Let's take back our energy future and ensure that Benton County remains a great place to live and work.
