Meet Mike

ABOUT

Mike has been the General Manager of South Basin Packing, LLC for the last 17 years. Prior to that, Mike was an Agricultural Production Manager for 7 years. He also spent several years working as a Manager for Columbia Ag Consultants.

 

With many years of experience in the agricultural industry, Mike knows the challenges farmers face and he is aware of the importance of water and energy.

 

Mike also has experience in finance. He was a Banker at Columbia Credit Union for 2 years and he was also a Banker for Bank of California aka Union Bank for 4 years.

 

He understands financial management and sound fiscal principles. In 1994, Mike graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Marketing.

 

Before that, he attended Washington State University where he studied Agricultural Economics from 1990-91. Mike was born in the Quincy Valley in WA. Mike has lived nearly all his life in Washington with the exception of two years in ‘Upstate’ New York to go to school.  

 

He and his wife raised four daughters, all of whom reside in Washington. The Massey family loves to hike and play board games.  As a home winemaker Mike makes wine from the local area grapes.  

 

Mike’s wife Kristina owns Corbie Arts and teaches children's art classes.  She also teaches art at Tri Cities Prep High School. In addition, they both manage home rentals in the Kennewick area.
